Agenda – Differential Fairness Toolkit Project¶
Meeting #5 Date: 11th December 2025 Time: 10:30 AM (Online)
1. Welcome and Purpose of Meeting¶
- To compare each member’s prototype pipeline.
- To agree on which components should be merged into the shared toolkit.
2. Review of Individual Pipelines¶
Each member presents their minimal example, including:
- Dataset loading method
- Preprocessing steps
- Fairness metric implementation
- Model training/evaluation
- Output clarity and usability
Discussion points:
- What worked well?
- What was confusing or inefficient?
- Are there common patterns we should standardise?
3. Agreeing the Core Toolkit Design¶
Based on the pipeline comparison:
- Confirm folder/module structure
- Confirm naming conventions
- Finalise which functions belong in v0.1
- Identify anything missing (e.g., documentation, examples, tests)
4. Decisions on What to Merge Into dev¶
- Vote or discuss which components each person will contribute
- Define rules for Pull Requests
- Assign responsibilities for merging and reviewing
5. Next Steps and Work Allocation¶
- Who will implement the dataset loader?
- Who will implement metric functions?
- Who will update documentation?
- Who will build example notebooks?
- Who will test installation and imports?
